Hi,  can I just ask if anyone else has purchased the My Craft Studio Professional and is having trouble installing it.  As soon as it is supposed to be installed a box comes up saying that it has found a problem and is closing down.  I have installed the framework download that it tells you to.  I am on Windows XP and everything on my computer is as it should be. I have tried everything that the lady on the help line has advised and still to no avail.  Now when I installed the original MCS I had a similar problem.  Eventually I found out that I had to uninstall the very download that you have to install to make the professional work. If it is installed neither will work.  If uninstalled I can use the original one.  I am getting very near to banging my head on the wall.  Any ideas?

Thanks for letting me know, Tenchy  Honestly you have made me feel a lot better.  I thought it was me.  I am going to the show at Aintree next week.  I will find the My Craft Studio stand and I will be telling them what I think about their disc. Now I am going to head over to the facebook page and add my four pennyworth.

Thanks again

I dunno why they just dont rename C&C the SW MCS flog shop, cos thats all they push these days. Gone are card kits and forget anything for blokes. its all MCS cd roms for loads of money and extoritionate p&p. And to think you can do everything mcs does and more in MS publisher.

I can only sympathise Margaret, The quality of the MCS products aren't all that good and the after sales service from c & c and ideal world is not the best . I am still a c and c member but i don't even order the free gifts as i don't want them knowing my new card number after the issues i had with them before. When this membership runs out i won't renew as i never order from them.

Its a great shame as they have a great frame work to be bigger and better if they tried harder with customer services.

How I agree.  I definately will not renew my membership.  I must have been nuts to buy the MCS Professional. I find the other one quite adequate.  When I thought about it I realised the Daisy Trail is so much better and that is free! I don't know why I watch C&C  they are a bit too gushing for me.  Though when I went to the show at the NEC I found that Nancy Watts is really very nice.

I will say that some of the demonstrators are not so nice as they seem.  In fact one, I will mention no names told this poor woman to shut up when she asked her something and to watch what she was doing. Another had the Vapours and ran off her stand, said she couldn't cope with all the people.  Will have to see what the entertainment is at Aintree,ha ha

I have just sold all my Craft Studio CD's on Ebay ~ as I did not use them.

As for Create and Craft everytime I turn on there is yet another Craft Studio CD they are  trying to sell, I don't watch very often these days although I do love Nancy's demo's if they let her do her demo that is without interuptng her to try and sell something.

I am no longer a member of the Create and Craft club a I feel you can get better bargains either direct form the maufactures or from online retailers.Alot offerng free postage or lower than C & C 's

I heard from other people that some of the presenters and designers for that matter can be a bit of a 'diva' at these shows,

I think they should remember that its joe public that have made them as popular as they are and behaviour like that can make people turn on ther heels and head somewhere else.

Excuse me why I jump down frm my soapbox!!!!

The presenter at the NEC in 2009 when I went was Howard. He seemed nice.  The one I went to in 2008 was Nigel and he really was very nice.  They had a room for C&C members where you got a drink and could make a flower soft card.  Also there was a pile of Cross stitch mags.  All different and Nigel told us to take one of each free. 2009 nothing.  Just a stand with Howard and a load of people trying to get you to buy stuff.  Out of date kits I think.

I haven't been to Aintree yet.  I am going with a friend.  We belong to a class that meets on a Friday.  As soon as everyone heard we were going what did they all want us to fetch for them....Pinflair glue.

I must admit that if it is something by Joanna Sheen on C&C I go straight to her website because it is free P&P.  Get a lot off Ebay too.  They are very quick to send out.  I find that C&C can take a few weeks.

Well, last Monday I was beyond excitement.  I got the MCS Pro up and running at last.  After all these months.  Soon deflated though.  Most of it doesn't work.  I am now sat here patiently waiting for them to ring me back.  Shall I start reading War and Peace while I am waiting?
